As the welcome wave of 90s-inspired country tunes steadily continues, so too do the windows down, good-timing’ summer drives that those songs usually accompany and inspire. With his newest effort, “Love a Little More,” Blaine Holcomb has added a welcome addition to that playlist. Releasing tomorrow, August 19, Pro Country is happy to premiere the track a day early!
Opening with a twanging electric guitar and a fiddle lick sounding plucked straight from the 90s, Holcomb encourages showing an extra dose of love to significant others, all the while, keeping a fun, rollicking melody throughout the song.
“‘Love A Little More‘ is a song I wrote last fall with my producer, Jay Brunswick, and our good friend Jason Blaine. The three of us sat down to write at Jason’s house, and since we all love 90s country, we decided to try to write something with that vibe,” says Holcomb. “I think it was Jay who had the title idea, and we just ran with it from there. We wanted to write a fun country love song about a couple whose love grows stronger and stronger throughout their lives together. The chorus is really catchy and fun to sing, and I think a lot of people will be able to relate to this one.”
“Love a Little More” serves as Holcomb’s third release of the year, following the success of singles “When It Comes to Love” and “Lessons,” featuring Kinsey Rose, which have earned hundreds of thousands of combined streams.
