Everyone needs a place to let go. Whether it be a long work week, trouble or relationship that’s bringing a person down, a place to escape for a good time is always welcome. Indiana native Douglas Riley knows that feeling all too well, and he has encapsulated it in his new single, “Home Bar,” set for release tomorrow, but we’re honored to premiere it a day early!
“Home Bar” opens with a good-timing, twanging Telecaster, matched by Riley’s equally twangy vocal. An infectious chorus ensures that Riley’s new single is perfect for windows down, summertime driving.
“We should all have a place we can go where we feel welcome and loved by our friends and family,” says Riley. “That’s how I got the idea for ‘Home Bar.’ Everybody needs a home bar; a home away from home!”
Riley’s new single follows his 2020 album, A Love Like That, as the now Nashville-living singer/songwriter continues to play shows in Music City and bringing a positive message to the stage with his music.
“The best way to experience my music is at a show, in person,” explains Riley. “From songwriting to playing live shows, music is my passion. I look forward to many more years of growing as an artist, continuing to write my best material and performing the best show possible for audiences near and far alike. I hope to see you at a show in the near future!”
